Seradiag supplies CE marked rapid diagnostic test kits for home and clinical use. Every kit is a lateral flow test: you collect a small sample, add it to the test cassette and read the result yourself in around five to fifteen minutes. There is no laboratory, no postage and no waiting for results to come back.
How a rapid test kit works
Depending on the test, the sample is a finger-prick blood drop, a urine sample or a saliva or swab sample. It travels along the test strip and reacts with antibodies or antigens printed on it. A control line confirms the test has run correctly, and the test line shows the result. What a result means
A home test is a screening tool, not a diagnosis. A positive result should always be confirmed with a GP, pharmacist or clinic, and a negative result does not rule out a condition if you have symptoms or ongoing concerns. If you feel unwell, speak to a healthcare professional whatever the test shows.
